Frequently asked questions

Is the cropped area deleted from the file?

No. Cropping changes the visible area; the cut part stays in the file. To remove sensitive information completely, use redaction instead of cropping.

How are pages of different sizes cropped?

The crop area is proportional to the page, so it is applied to pages of other sizes in the same proportions.

Does the text stay selectable?

Yes. The content is not re-rendered, so text stays selectable and searchable and links keep working.
