Can I leave the cover page without a number?
Yes. Choose "All except the first (cover)"; you can also change the first number.
Are numbers placed correctly on rotated pages?
Yes. Numbers are placed according to how the page is shown on screen, so they appear at the bottom of sideways pages too.
Can the numbers be searched?
Yes. Numbers are added as real text, so PDF readers can select and search them.
